The new digital print technology allows us to create breathtaking promotional umbrellas that were just not possible a few years ago. We are still learning new visual effects and ways to combine old and new technologies to create ever more visually stunning umbrellas for our clients.

Sublimation or heat transfer printing is the application of sublimation inks onto a surface using a heat press to provide the required combination of heat, time and pressure. This combination causes the inks to be converted from a solid to a gaseous state enabling them to penetrate the material so that a permanent, full colour image is formed. The colour penetrates the surface of the item so that the result is colourful, long lasting and resistant to scratching unlike some other printing methods that merely print onto the surface of the item.

Technical Focus:

Sublimation printing utilizes specialized dyes that transition from solid to gas under high heat and pressure, typically applied via a heat press. This gaseous state allows the ink to permeate the polymer structure of polyester-based materials, creating a vibrant, permanent bond. Unlike surface-level printing techniques (e.g., screen printing), the dye becomes embedded within the substrate, ensuring exceptional durability against fading, peeling, or abrasion.Process-Oriented:

In sublimation printing, heat-activated inks are transferred onto a substrate using precise temperature (usually 180–220°C) and pressure. The ink sublimates—skipping the liquid phase—to bond molecularly with synthetic fabrics or polymer-coated surfaces. The result is a high-resolution, scratch-resistant image that won’t crack or peel, as the color integrates into the material rather than sitting atop it.Simplified/Commercial Version:

Sublimation printing turns inks into gas under heat, fusing them permanently into fabrics or coated materials. This method produces vivid, all-over designs that stay vibrant through washes and wear, ideal for sportswear, mugs, and signage. Unlike traditional prints that layer ink on the surface, sublimation embeds the design for long-lasting quality.
