Safety is probably a priority, so the structure should be sturdy, maybe with UV protection if it's also for sun. Also, installation is a factor. The tent is easy to set up, with poles or a frame that can be anchored securely. Since it's a school, aesthetics might matter too – something that looks neat and blends with the school environment. 

Colors might need to be neutral or match the school's colors,of course you can choose whatever you like.

And the size of the tent could accommodate multiple people. Parents might gather in groups, so the size needs to be adequate. Maybe modular so the school can adjust the size as needed. Materials should be fire-resistant or meet local safety codes. 

Also, considering weather resistance, especially if the area experiences strong winds, the structure should be stable.
